SUPERSTINKER S1-11B

Sean Worthington is very happy with his S1-11B Super Stinker Pitts. This Wolf modified Pitts has ram air induction to increase power to the cold air sump IO 540.  This is giving us 27 inches at 5000 feet with an indicated airspeed of 195 mph. From 4000 feet at 25 inches and 2500 rpm we are getting 2100 feet vertical penetration. Click here to read a few words from Sean.

CYCLONE

Cyclone is a 2 place unlimited monoplane powered by a Pratt and Whitney R-985 450hp engine.  Cyclone is a monoplane version of Samson and features a composite wing.  Cyclone was completed in 1989 and is currently owned by Frank V. Rider who performs in airshows.

WOOD FABRICATION

Steve is an expert at wood construction as he demonstrated with the Hughes HI wing.

COMPOUND METAL

Steve's expertise in forming metal by using the English wheel and hammer enables us to make forms usually made with fiberglass. Metal makes these pieces stronger, lighter, and more durable, as well as adding the beauty of a polished surface, if desired. This is best displayed on the Gee Bee replica. No fiberglass was used on this plane.

WELDED COMPONENTS

Custom welding of steel, stainless and aluminum allows us to fabricate frames, engine mounts, fuel tanks, tail surface controls, etc.

CUSTOM CANOPY

Steve's latest side opening single seat canopy design.

S1 and S2 CUSTOM COWLINGS

Wolf Aircraft offers professional installation of your custom fiberglass or carbon fiber cowling systems. Examples can be seen on the Wolfpitts and Sean D. Tucker's Oracle Challenger II. These cowlings provide excellent cooling and the low drag enables quicker entry speeds for improved performance. This allows you to maintain energy, a big plus in competition where staying in the box could make the difference between first and last place.

CUSTOM WINGS

Wolf Aircraft wings are high quality and custom designed to have greater strength and roll rate. These wings can be customized to your taste and needs, but all have our plywood leading edges, all truss rib construction with beefed up center section. Wings with up to 12g performance as demonstrated by Sean D. Tucker are available. Wolf Aircraft specializes in all wood construction and can build your fuselage or tail as well.

For the Airshow pilot or someone wanting to get to the next level of fun and excitement. Wolf Aircraft offers the Wolfpro wing series. This wing boasts a new airfoil tapering outbound of the I struts for higher aspect ratio. The aileron designs have aerodynamically balanced tips that provide a better roll rate and can be flown at high angles of attack. This provides a lower stall speed and faster top speed for more advanced maneuvers. It also creates less drag at full aileron deflection giving better vertical performance. In testing the Wolfpro 8 in vertical penetration exhibited only a 100' loss of climb transitioning from a straight vertical line to vertical rolls. The roll rate is approx. 360 degrees per second.

When assessing his new wings, Sean D. Tucker said:

"These wings are so fantastic that anyone can fly them. They should be certified and placed on the training Pitts models B and C. They They improve the snap and there is no adverse yaw in the turns. We are there with these wings. They aren't cheap, but they are worth every penny!"
